Privacy policy
What data the TechnoCalc site receives and what happens to it. In short: visitors have no accounts, and the site collects only what it cannot work without.
Effective 13 October 2026
1. Who runs the site
TechnoCalc is a private, non-commercial reference run by one person, the site owner. It is not affiliated with Technocolor and sells nothing.
The site and all its data are hosted on the owner's own server in Russia.
2. What we collect
Visitors do not sign up: the site has no visitor accounts, no contact forms and no mailing lists. It receives only the following:
- Technical logs: your IP address, browser type and the pages you request are written to the web server's logs. They are kept for about two weeks and used only for security and troubleshooting.
- Page view statistics: views are counted without cookies. A visitor is counted by a code derived from IP address and browser that changes every day; the IP address itself is not stored for statistics and the code cannot identify you.
- Shopping lists: a list you put together is saved on the server and opens only through its private link with a random address. Anyone who has the link can see and change the list, so share it deliberately. The list holds nothing but what you put into it. Your browser remembers the links to your lists in its local storage.
- Questions to the AI assistant: the text of your questions, follow-ups and the answers, the time, your IP address and browser. We use this to improve answers, correct product data and prevent abuse (including blocking addresses that misuse the service).
- Catalog editor accounts: username, a password hash (never the password itself), sign-in times, the IP address and browser of active sessions, and a log of actions in the admin area.
3. The AI assistant and transfer abroad
Answers are written by the Claude language model of Anthropic, PBC (USA). To answer, it receives only the text of your question and the earlier turns of the same conversation, together with reference data about the products. Your IP address is not sent to Anthropic.
The request travels over an encrypted connection through an intermediate server outside Russia. By asking a question you consent to this cross-border transfer of its text. Please don't include names, phone numbers or other personal details in questions — the assistant doesn't need them.
Conversations with the assistant, together with the IP address, are kept for no longer than one year and then deleted automatically.
5. Retention and security
- Web server technical logs — about 2 weeks.
- AI assistant conversations, including IP address — up to 1 year.
- Shopping lists — for as long as they are used: a list nobody has opened for about 13 months is deleted automatically. You can delete your own list at any time on its page.
The site is served only over HTTPS and editor passwords are stored as a strong hash. We don't sell data, don't share it for advertising and don't make automated decisions about you that affect your rights.
6. Your rights and contact
The site holds no visitor names, phone numbers or e-mail addresses, so we cannot tie stored data to a particular person. You delete a shopping list yourself; assistant conversations are deleted automatically after a year.
The site has no separate contact form: only its owner handles the data. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can complain to Roskomnadzor, the Russian data protection authority.
7. Changes
We update this policy when the way the site works changes. The date of the current version is shown at the top of the page.
